Uniforms are purchased from Rose Uniforms. Rose Uniforms is in the SteinMart Shopping
Center, 9708 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond. Orders can be placed via phone at (804)
327-9001 or on the web at www.roseuniforms.com.
Sweatshirts are purchased from the Spirit Shop at
Saint Mary’s.
All students must have a “dress” uniform, which will
be worn on designated days. Alternates
will be phased out over the next two years.
Parents are encouraged to limit new purchases to the dress uniform.
Dress uniforms include dress shoes. Shoes should be conservative, sturdy,
closed-toe shoes that either tie or buckle.
When sneakers are worn, they should be plain, void of color and
excessive logos. All shoes and sneakers
must have “non-mare” soles.
“Dress” Uniform:

Notes:
- Skirts
should be bought “as is” and not hemmed.
Correctly fitting skirts fall to knee length. Growth will be permitted to 2” above the
knee.
- When
wearing roll down socks, the sock must be visible around the entire top of
the shoe/sneaker.

Block Letter “Saint Mary’s” sweatshirt may be worn with all uniforms.

noted), Awards, Competitions.
- Navy
cotton/lycra bike shorts are typically worn under skirts.

solid WHITE undergarments may be worn under the uniform shirt.

K-1 do not wear belts.

2-5 wear belts (navy woven belt).
Appropriate hairstyles are
expected for all students. No bleached
or dyed hair is permitted. No hairstyle
may extend past the top of the uniform shirt collar for boys. Any questionable hairstyle must have approval
from the administration.
No face, eye or lip make-up
is to be worn by any student. No
excessive jewelry or dangling earrings are to be worn. Simple religious jewelry and watches (no
alarms) may be worn. No tattoos are
allowed. Fads are not acceptable. These rules apply to Tag Days as well. Middle School girls may use clear nail polish;
however, no other nail polish may be used.
Artificial nails are not permitted.
Tag Days are days students have the option of
wearing clothing other than their uniforms.
Please consult the School
calendar, web-site and backpack flyers for scheduled Tag Days. Appropriate attire is required. No tank tops or spaghetti straps are
allowed. “Short shorts” are not allowed. Our desire is
to give students a break from wearing school uniforms. However, we ask that parents carefully
monitor styles and fashions that may be inappropriate in a Catholic school
setting.
