FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

 1. What is Continuous Enrollment?

Continuous Enrollment is an enrollment process where students are automatically re-enrolled each year unless a family notifies the school otherwise. This eliminates the need for annual re-enrollment forms.

2. Why is the school moving to Continuous Enrollment?

Continuous Enrollment simplifies the process for families, ensures stability for students, and helps the school better plan for resources, staffing, and academic programs.

3. How does tuition payment work with Continuous Enrollment?

Each year, you will receive updated tuition information and payment options before the opt-out period opens. Your payment plan will continue as agreed unless you notify us of any changes.

4. What if my family decides to withdraw?

We understand that circumstances change. Families who need to withdraw must submit a formal withdrawal notice by the Opt-Out Deadline to avoid any financial obligations for the following year.

5. Will I receive confirmation of my child’s enrollment each year?

Yes! Families will receive an annual notification with tuition updates, policy changes, Opt-out and Update deadline dates, and any other important reminders before the Opt-out period opens.

6. How will I know when to sign up for continuous enrollment?

This January 2026, you will be asked to re-enroll your student like you have in prior years, but the contract language in the re-enrollment contract will change to include the continuous enrollment for all subsequent years until you opt-out or your child graduates from Saint Mary’s. The next school year, in January 2027, your student will automatically be re-enrolled without you having to do a thing!

7. What if I am not sure we want to participate in continuous enrollment?

If you re-enroll in January 2026, there isn’t an option to decline continuous enrollment; your student will automatically be included. SMCS will offer an Opt-out period every year for any family who may not wish to return for future school years.

8. How long do I have to decide if we are coming back?

Every year, SMCS will send reminders with the Opt-out period and updated deadlines prior to the Opt-out period.

9. Can I make changes to my child’s enrollment (e.g., tuition payment, grade level changes)?

Absolutely! If you need to update your tuition plan, apply for tuition assistance, or discuss any other changes, please contact our school office before the Update deadline.

10. What if we have to move for work or other reasons mid-year?

You can reach out to our Principal, Amanda Esparza, and she will assist you with those situations.

11. Will After School Care automatically re-enroll, too?

No. We will send out a separate form for people interested in ASC.

12. Who do I contact if I have questions?

Our school office is happy to assist you! If you have any questions about this new process, please reach out to our Principal, Amanda Esparza, or our Admissions Director, Anne Leigh Bisese.

We hope this new process makes enrollment easier and stress-free for your family! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your continued partnership in your child’s education at Saint Mary’s!
