CHESS CLUB RETURNS

Note:  For Chess Club to meet, we need at least 10 players registered no later than September 19th!

Chess Club members will learn to be better players while having fun with their peers. Playing chess helps kids think more clearly and improves math and reading skills. Classes provided by  Chess RVA  include both instruction and supervised play.

  • Day and Time:    Fridays  after school from  2:50 pm to 3:50 pm  (1:35 start for Oct. 8 and Oct. 22)
  • Dates:  Fall session starts  September 24th  ending  November 19th  (9 classes) 
  • Who can play:  Session is open to both beginners and experienced, in 2nd grade through 8th grade, or to those younger who know how to play.
  • Cost:   Fall Session  $118.00 , or  $108.00  if paid by September 19th
  • Registration/Payment:   Please print, clip and send in  this registration form  below with your check payable to:  Chess RVA  and mail to 413 Ashford Hill Loop, North Chesterfield, VA 23236   or  pay online  via Credit Card. Registration and payment will be confirmed by email up on receipt.

Chess RVA Staff and Methods

Chess RVA instructors use a complete curriculum introducing chess skills to beginners incrementally and improving players’ skills and strategies in the opening, middle and endgame.
